Japanese Society of Pediatric Oncology(JSPO)
Process and History of JSPO
The meeting for the study of pediatric cancer had been held regularly since 1970. On December 1st, 1984, the meeting for the pediatric cancer was newly organized after the conference where some members of the Malignant Tumor Committee joint with the Japanese Pediatric Society and the Japanese Pediatric Surgical Society. On November 30th, 1990, its name was changed to the Japanese Society of Pediatric Oncology(JSPO).
Mission Statement
The Japanese Society of Pediatric Oncology is committed to improving the knowledge of science concerning pediatric cancer and contributing to pediatric cancer patients by providing support.
Admission and Members
Individuals who agree to this mission statement can become a member of the JSPO. Today, there are over 1500 members including: Doctors, Medical Researchers, Nurses, and others.
Meetings
An Academic Conference will be held annually once a year.
Journal publication
The “Journal of Japanese Society of Pediatric Oncology” is an official journal of the JSPO published quarterly in Japanese by the Editorial Committee. All members can receive a copy of our journal and send in manuscripts.
